Update on T-shirt orders .
As you may be aware, there has been some confusion as to the funds that are being set up for Virginia Tech victims from April 16. Virginia Tech has set up various funds in the name of the victims. You may have seen some recent news coverage about this and Tech being offered outside help with financial distribution. The Kevin P. Granata Memorial Trust which is listed on the NRVLC website, and where the profits of our t-shirts were donated is an approved fund by the Granata family (opposed to the Virginia Tech Trusts which were set up in victims names for research and grant purposes).
With that, I wanted to share with you and thank you for your generosity. As you know the t-shirt profits were donated to the Kevin P. Granata Memorial Trust. Those profits came to $627.25, plus an outright donation of $100 from an NRVLC family, plus another $200 from GTM Sportswear. (GTM Sportswear was very gracious in refunding a portion of the shirts to make up for the lacrosse stick and back memorial being raspberry rather than the VT maroon I ordered). So, with all of that, the NRVLC families were able to donate a total of $927.25 to the Trust. |
