print Rising Star Camp directions

Rising Star Camp: Follow I-581 South through Roanoke.  It turns into 220 South.  Follow past Tanglewood Mall to the community of Clearbrook and when you start leaving Clearbrook you make a left onto Yellow Mountain Road (after the VDOT salt/sand shed).  Follow about 1/2 mile and RS is on your right.

Salem High School Fields, Salem, VA: Take I-81 to exit 137. Exit 137 takes you onto VA-112. Take VA-112 toward VA-619/Salem. Turn right onto VA-112 South (Wildwood Road). Turn left onto US-460/US-11/W. Main Street. Turn left onto Spartan Drive (driveway into Salem HS campus) Varsity boys and HS girls play on the field in front of Salem HS on the right. In the case of wet field conditions, varsity boys may play on the Salem HS practice field. MS and JV Boys play on the HS practice field that is located behind the right side of Salem HS (before the entrance to the track).

Veterans Administration (VA) Hospital Fields, Salem, VA: Take I-81 to exit 141 (Route 419). At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Route 419. Follow 419 through the intersection with Route 460. Look for a large grey General Electric factory on your left. Just after this GE plant, turn left onto Roanoke Boulevard. The VA Hospital fields are on your right, approximately one mile down the road.

Patrick-Henry & RVLA City Fields, Roanoke, VA: Take I-81 to exit 143 (I-581). Follow I-581 past downtown Roanoke city to the Colonial Avenue / Wonju Street exit. Take Colonial Avenue exit. At the end of the exit, turn right onto Colonial Avenue (you will see the Towers shopping center across from the light. Follow Colonial Avenue for a short distance until the light at the intersection with Brandon Avenue. Turn left onto Brandon Avenue SW. Stay on Brandon Avenue (beware - you will encounter a split in the road; Brandon Avenue continues to the left at this fork. Follow Brandon Avenue to the light at intersection with Grandin Avenue. Turn left onto Grandin. Patrick-Henry High School will be on your immediate left. Enter the main entrance to the HS and turn into the parking lot in front of the basketball fieldhouse. Lacrosse fields are behind the fieldhouse.

North Cross High School, Roanoke, VA: Take I-81 to exit 141. At the end of the ramp, turn left onto Route 419. Follow 419 for several miles. You will eventually pass Lewis-Gale Hospital on the left and the Roanoke Library on the right. Turn right onto Colonial Avenue. Take the first left into the high school. Take the first right into the parking lot and follow to the building straight ahead. The field is behind this building.

print Brubaker Field directions

Brubaker Field, Lexington, VA: Take I-81 to exit 180 (Highway 11). Take a left off of the ramp onto Highway 11 toward Lexington. As you enter Lexington, you will make a right hand turn onto Waddell Street (there is a hotel and a Cool Spring Grocery health-food store on the right). Waddell Street dead ends at Wallace Street. Take a left turn onto Wallace Street. The field will be on your right. Please park in the Kids Place parking lot.

East Rockingham Lacrosse Club, Montevideo Middle School: I-81 to Harrisonburg, VA. Exit onto Rt. 33 (the third Harrisonburg exit, when traveling from the south. This is the exit for the Valley Mall. Travel 6 miles east on Rt. 33 to Rt. 996 (McGaheysville Road). Turn right onto McGaheysville Road; the Montevideo Middle School is 400 yards on your right.

Fishburne Military Academy: Take I-81 north to east (toward Richmond) on I-64, take exit 94 (the Route 340 North exit). Brown historic landmark signs on I-64 designate the exit. Follow Route 340 North (Rosser Avenue) to Main Street. (This is the intersection of Routes 340 and 250.) Turn right onto Main Street. Turn right onto Church Street (sign is slightly obscured by a Dogwood tree). The Shenandoah Valley Art Center is on the right at the corner of Main and Church Streets and the Main Street Methodist Church is on the left. Church Street goes directly into the school. Visitor parking is provided.

Wilbur Pence Middle School, Dayton, VA: Traveling on I-81 North or South take EXIT 240 onto VA-257 toward MT CRAWFORD / BRIDGEWATER.  Travel west on VA-257 for approximately 3.4 miles. Traveling past Bridgewater College turn right onto VA-42. Travel north on VA-42 for approximately 3 miles and turn left back on to VA-257 west and go .2 miles. Take a right onto ASHBY ST.and travel .4 miles.  Turn right onto BOWMAN RD.  PMS is at 375 Bowman Rd, Dayton, VA, 22821.
